Palomar students, donors and dignitaries from the Governing Board and more will have a chance to shine bright during the school’s Scholarship Honors Night.
The event, which has been held annually for over 20 years, gives students a chance to meet their scholarship donors as well as mingle with members of the Governing Board and other dignitaries of the school.
The Foundation, which hosts the event, are expecting to give away around $375,000 in scholarships this year.
Kim Hartwell, the Foundation’s scholarship coordinator, says the honors night is a great way for the donors to gain a more intimate relationship with the scholarship winners.
“The donors get to sit next to the students throughout the event; they get to learn the stories of the students who won,” Hartwell said
The event will be held at the Student Union on Wednesday, May 14 at 5:30 p.m.
