The Palomar Comets Women’s Basketball team hosted a three-day tournament against Santa Monica, Riverside, and East Los Angeles on Nv. 15-17. They won each game.
On Nov. 15th the Comets beat Santa Monica College 94-43. Starter Imari Cooley lead the team with 18 points. She also contributed nine rebounds, three steals and one block. Nikki Mayoral scored 16 points and reserve players Elexis Espina and Julie Saelee both scored 11 points.
Day two was on Nov. 16th. The Comets beat Riverside Community College 77-56. Starting guard Taylor Williams led the team with 18 points, while contributing two rebounds and two assists. Two reserve players that came out strong were Aaliyah Taylor scoring 12 points with one rebound, and Lily Crabtree scoring 11 points and recording six rebounds.
The last game of the tournament on, Nov. 17th, was a win against East Los Angeles 81-49. Once again, starters Nikki Mayoral and Taylor Williams, lead their team with 19 points each. Mayoral also contributed four assists and three rebounds and Williams had five assists and three rebounds.
The Comets are off to a 6-0 start.
