SAN MARCOS — Three new members have joined the Palomar Community College District (PCCD) Governing Board following the November 8, 2022 General Election. Dr. Judy Patacsil, Michelle Rains, and Jacqueline Kaiser were sworn in during a special organizational meeting on December 13, 2022. Christian Garcia was elected as President of the Board, Roberto Rodriguez as Vice President, and Dr. Patacsil as Secretary. The board’s regular meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of every month at 4 p.m.
Superintendent/President Dr. Star Rivera-Lacey had this to say, “I am grateful for the privilege of working with our three new Trustees, as we continue our focus on student success and pursue our short- and long-term goals and objectives together.”
Dr. Patacsil has 30 years of experience in higher education and currently works at San Diego Miramar College. Rains is the owner of Cheers of Ramona restaurant and serves on the Ramona Community Planning Group. Kaiser is a regional director at MetLife and manages retirement plans for not-for-profit entities.
