SAN MARCOS – Former governing board member and veteran Darrell McMullen recently passed away on June 22, 2021.
After a long life of serving his community through The Boys and Girls Club, The Rotary Club of San Marcos, and Meals on Wheels, McMullen leaves a legacy behind with big shoes to fill.
With nothing but good things to say about Mr. McMullen, friends and family gathered on July 24 of this year to celebrate his life.
McMullen spent 12 years serving on the Palomar College Governing Board, and was admired greatly by his colleagues.
He was adored by his 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and his obituary states, “Darrell will be dearly missed and his presence will never be replaced, however, his legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren and their ever growing families”.
