Happy Monday Comets, it’s the end of September already – where did the time go? We’re on week six at Palomar, and there’s quite a few virtual events that students can attend.
Presentations
The Teaching and Learning Center is hosting a Police Academy skillshop for students, from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29 via Zoom. The event will cover academy requirements, the application and testing processes and what to do after acceptance.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month during October, Palomar’s Student Health Centers are hosting an educational presentation in collaboration with TrueCare (formerly North County Health Services) from 3 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1 on Zoom.

For Concert Hour this week, Palomar Performing Arts is hosting Meschiya Lakes and The Little Big Horns, a jazz group hailing from New Orleans, from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1 through Zoom.

The department is also showing “Too Much Memory,” an adaptation of Sophocles’ Antigone. Performances are from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 1 and 2, and from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 4 via Zoom.
