Ingredients:
3/4 Cup brown sugar
1/2 Cup granulated sugar
3/4 Cup salted butter (1 & 1/2 cubes)
1/2 Cup Maple Syrup (the real deal)
3/4 tsp maple extract
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
3 Cups flour
5 strips bacon, cooked and crumpled
1 Cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Optional: 1/2 Cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
Cream butter and sugars, add syrup, eggs, and extract and mix well.
Mix the flour, baking soda, and baking powder together using a whisk.
Gradually add to the wet mixture a little at a time.
Add the chocolate chips and bacon (and optional nuts)
Drop onto a cookie sheet using a teaspoon.
Bake at 375 degrees for 9 – 10 minutes
