Alex Ciavarelli and Rudy Marquez are two young jazz guitarists who created the Django Shredders. Both, Ciavarelli and Marquez’s skills have brought their band much popularity throughout the years.
The band tells the story of the Belgian jazz guitarist who was considered to be one of the most influential musicians during the 20 century.
Django Shredders have preformed in numerous local events, such as the San Diego Gypsy Jazz Festival.
This duo has many other projects coming up including residencies in the Sonoma County Libraries and the Green Valley Recreation in Arizona, an appearance at the Bothwell Arts Center in Livermore, CA, and now will be performing at Palomar College’s Concert Hours.
The event will take place from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 16 both in person at the Howard Brubeck Theatre and via Zoom free of cost.
All visitors who are attending the event in person must receive a “pass” after taking the self-screening questionnaire. Those who receive a “no pass” will not be able to attend the event or enter the campus.
