Palomar College will be a first step for many students who want to transfer to a four-year university.
According to Transfer Center website, students need to have at least 60 transferable units at Palomar to complete the 120-130 semester units needed to get bachelors’ degrees.
Also, the minimum 60 units include subject area requirements and general education (GE) requirements (and sometimes lower division courses, too). Some majors require differing classes, according to the website.
That is why it is very important to create an educational plan with a counselor in your first semester.
