SAN MARCOS – Palomar College has partnered with a new food supplier for the spring 2024 semester and officially brought back permanent food options to the food court.
Back in summer 2023, food supplier Aramark ended their contract with Palomar. The school struggled to supply students with food options as a result.
If you were on campus for fall 2023, you know the nightmare it was to get a meal on campus. During this time, Palomar brought on California Dining Services to provide temporary food trucks on campus while planning for permanent spots.
With the start of the new year, the expanded menu options have opened up to a variety of breakfast, lunch, and snack choices.
Breakfast options include: coffee, pastries, and bagels.
Lunch options include: burgers, BLTs, buffalo chicken wings, chicken tenders, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, sandwiches, salads, and sushi/bento boxes.
Starting in February even more options will become available. Students can expect to see soup and pizza options. California Dining Services is also providing catering services.
The food court is open from Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
