The Palomar College Foundation will be holding its 23rd annual gala, and promises a night of “fun, food and frivolity” to attendees.
The fundraising gala and dinner will be held at 6 p.m. on Nov. 22 at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. The theme of this year’s gala is “Discovering the Magic of Education.”
The gala will feature a silent and a live auction, food and local wines, and local entertainment. Items being auctioned include vacations, jewelry and passes to sports events. Every year, the Foundation rewards the “Comet Award” to people who are considered exceptional contributors to their community. This years honorees are retired U.S. Marine Corps Major General Anthony Jackson and World War II veteran Jack Port.
Proceeds from the event will go towards textbook assistance, scholarships and other student assistance programs.
