In a press release sent out on Friday evening, Acting President Jack Kahn announced that Palomar has canceled classes for the week of March 16-21.
“”Plans are shifting one hour to the next across the county,” Kahn wrote.
Health officials in San Diego have announced that there have been six new positive coronavirus cases, according to NBC San Diego.
Students enrolled in an accredited program, such as Nursing, EMT, Dental or Police have been asked to contact their department chair for further information.
Classes will resume after spring break on March 30, and will be transitioning to online and distance education formats.
Campus will remain open next week, with limited hours at the library, tutoring and Disability Resource centers. Satellite campuses will be open on Monday, March 16 with limited hours and will be closed for the remainder of the week.
Student Support Services will be open with normal hours on March 16-17.
