The Palomar Veterans Resource Center (VRC) at the main campus in San Marcos will host a free steak lunch from noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19 for veteran students.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars host this lunch every third Wednesday of the month.
Members of this post bring in a fresh home-cooked meal as a way to thank them for their service.
“Each month this is a great opportunity for veterans and their families to connect with each other, eat a delicious meal and build camaraderie,” said Lejearl Young, Palomar Veterans Service Center counselor and leader.
To learn more about what the VRC offers veterans their office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays.
