Palomar College Blood Drives

Palomar college students will get the chance to save lives by donating blood at a blood drive sponsored by Health Services and the Fire Club.

The blood drive will be at 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. on Monday through Friday Feb. 22-26 at Parking Lot 6. Before parking, visitors can obtain a parking pass from Campus Police to park in student parking lots.

To schedule an appointment, you can contact Health Services at (760) 744-1150 ext. 2380, or sign up online at www.redcrossblood.org with the code PalomarSM.

Before donating blood, eat a healthy, iron-rich meal and drink extra fluids starting the day before your donation. Remember to get plenty of rest and to bring personal identification, such as a driver’s license to your appointment.

If you are unable to donate blood, the American Red Cross is accepting monetary donations at www.redcross.org or you can contact lschalker@palomar.edu if you are looking to volunteer during a blood drive.
