SAN MARCOS — Throughout every baseball season, you’ll see the Comets rotate between 11 different jerseys. These jerseys don’t just explore different color combos, some of them carry special meanings.
“We have been super lucky to be outfitted with these uniforms,” Head Coach Ben Adams said. “With the help of sponsors like RGenSports, Hy Customs, and Baller Belt Co, they are actively trying to make Palomar Baseball the forefront of style and discussion”
Self-assurance is key in competitive sports. Feeling good in your uniform can give athletes an extra edge to go out and perform at a high level.

“I like to look good cause it makes you feel good and gives you the confidence to go out there and play well.” Comet outfielder Justin Tucker said.
Typical home and away jerseys only scratch the surface of what Palomar’s jersey catalog has to offer.
Here’s a look at my top-five favorite uniforms of the Palomar College baseball team.
5. Army Green, Military Appreciation Jersey

The Comets deck themselves out in camouflage army green jerseys in appreciation for our country’s military. The patriotic emblem across the chest and a red, white and blue star in the upper left corner is a special nod to San Diego’s military families.
What makes this jersey really stand out to me is the contrast of colors. Army green, black, red, white and blue don’t typically complement each other, yet on these jerseys it ties together very nicely.
4. All Red, Bob Vetter Memorial Jersey

You might look at the Comets’ red jerseys and think they’re regular jerseys. But if you look closely, there are five white stars to honor their late head coach Bob Vetter who wore No. 5.
I like the simplicity of these jerseys. They are easy to look at, and the white stars add a nice touch without taking away from the glossy red base.
3. Gold, Childhood Cancer Awareness

Sometimes in sports, there are moments that are bigger than the game.
In 2025, the Comets donned the gold jerseys for the first time in support of the fight against childhood cancer.
The jerseys are auctioned off at the end of each season, with the proceeds going to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
Fans are encouraged to wear gold alongside Comets’ baseball whenever these jerseys are worn.
Not only does this jersey raise awareness for a cause, the details are incredible. Featured on the back of the jerseys is a silhouette of a child wearing a baseball cap, with the Palomar player’s number and a gold ribbon inside.
2. Green, St. Patrick’s Day Jersey

Baseball doesn’t come without its superstitions, and who doesn’t love a lucky jersey?
The Comets bring extra luck to the field when they put on their Irish-green St. Patrick’s Day jerseys.
Maybe the golden shamrock incorporated into the Palomar logo will lead to a game-winning home run?
These brightly colored jerseys add a unique look to the field. All while putting you in the holiday spirit.
1. Pink, Women’s Cancer Awareness & Blue, Men’s Cancer Awareness Jerseys

Childhood cancer awareness isn’t the only cause close to the Comets. The team wears pepto-pink jerseys for women’s cancer awareness and powder-blue jerseys in support of men’s prostate cancer.
What these jerseys represent, and the perfect blend of colors, leaves them tied at No. 1 for me.
“The goal of the uniforms is to highlight certain important program causes while also honoring Palomar’s sports success,” Adams said.
There is often more to a baseball game than just hitting a ball, and something as small as knowing the meaning behind each jersey can make the games that much sweeter.
