SAN MARCOS — On Tuesday, April 14 at 2:49 p.m., a school-wide email was issued regarding repeated incidents of suspicious behavior on the San Marcos campus.
The morning of April 10, a white male was seen acting suspiciously on a black Baolujie F-2 electric bike.
On Sunday, April 12, the same man was seen peering into cars “during overnight hours.”
On Monday, April 13, a report was made to the police department concerning an incident that took place two days prior involving the same individual. A female staff member was followed by the male while walking between the Learning Resource Center and Humanities buildings.
The male did not harm the staff member and “no crime was committed,” according to the email.
The message described the individual to appear between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet, roughly 25 to 35 years old and approximately 200 pounds. Across his appearances, the male was observed to be wearing a dark shirt and shorts or shirtless. He was also carrying a dark-colored backpack.
Campus police warn students to remain cautious and observant of their surroundings when walking through campus.
If anyone observes the male on campus or in the surrounding area, they are encouraged to inform campus police through call at 760-891-7273, text at 760-891-6154 or email at [email protected].
