- “Ancient Plants” Free Lecture – “Ancient Plants, Plants That Lived With Dinosaurs” with Wayne Armstrong, Botanist, Biologist & Palomar College Faculty Emeritus. A lecture about ancient plants, including two famous fossil trees that were named incorrectly, origin of flowering plants (Darwin’s Abominable Mystery), amber (Nature’s Transparent Tomb), did dinosaurs dine on grasses, and living fossils: modern-day relatives of plants from the dinosaur era. Special emphasis will be given to plants of the Palomar College Arboretum. Sponsored by the Friends of the Palomar College Arboretum. This lecture is free and open to the public.
