The Comet’s golf team placed third at Woods Valley Golf Club in day one of the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) women’s golf championships on Monday, Nov. 3.

Finishing behind OEC champions College of the Desert and Fullerton collectively, notable individual performances from Palomar’s Jessica Campbell, Brittany, Bilek and Deanna Bird helped them achieve a good day-one finish.

Jessica Campbell shot a day and career-best 74 while Bird and Bilek each scored an 86.

The tournament will conclude on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. with the final round at Woods Valley.
