Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and with that comes students’ much anticipated time off from school. Here are five movies being released during the Thanksgiving break that you will not want to miss:
1. “Regretting You”
Romantic Comedy, Drama
“Regretting You” follows Morgan Grant (Allison Williams) and her teenage daughter Clara (McKenna Grace) along their journey through grief following a tragic accident that reveals a family secret of betrayal. After the incident, Morgan and Clara are left to pick up the pieces, leading them to look toward love, for each other and in romance, to show them the way out.
According to whentostream.com, Paramount is expected to release the film for streaming on Nov. 25. It was released in theaters late last month, but what’s better than watching your next favorite movie in the comfort of your own home?
2. “Zootopia 2”
Family, Comedy, Mystery, Adventure
In “Zootopia 2,” returning characters Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde find themselves amidst another mystery after Zootopia is turned upside down by a mysterious reptile. Judy and Nick must team up once again to crack the case and save the city.
This sequel is set to hit theaters on Nov. 26. If you loved the first one, watching this is a no-brainer.
3. “Eternity”
Romantic Comedy, Drama, Fantasy
“Eternity” offers what is perhaps the most unique story among this list. It follows a woman named Joan (Elizabeth Olsen) who is caught in a love triangle — when she dies, that is. She lives in a reality where, after death, the soul has one week to decide where to spend eternity.
Joan must make an impossible decision: choose Larry (Miles Teller), the man she spent her life with, or Luke (Callum Turner), her first love who has waited decades for her to return to him.
Available in theaters starting Nov. 26, this unusual romance story is certain to connect with anyone who enjoys heartfelt love stories.
4. “The Thing with Feathers”
Psychological Drama
“The Thing with Feathers” follows a father (Benedict Cumberbatch) who has been left to care for his two sons after the unforeseen death of his wife. Dealing with grief is already an arduous task, so when it appears in the form of a black crow that stalks the him, he begins to slowly lose grasp of reality.
The film, being released to theaters on Nov. 28, is an adaption of Max Porter’s novel “Grief Is the Thing with Feathers.”
5. “Maserati: The Brothers”
Biography, Drama
“Maserati: The Brothers” tells the remarkable story behind the Maserati family and the car that forever changed the industry of luxury sports cars. With such an impressive lineup of actors — Al Pacino, Anthony Hopkins, Andy Garcia and Jessica Alba, to name a few — the watch is certain to be a good one.
Being released to theaters on Nov. 30, it is a must watch for all car enthusiasts.
