Rob Gronkowski was traded from the New England Patriots to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but it won’t be enough to push the Buccaneers to the playoffs.
According to SportsCenter, he was traded along with a seventh round pick to the Buc’s for a fourth round pick.
Gronkowski has already taken his physical in Boston and is waiting for the official results.
If the physical is passed he will be joining longtime teammate, Tom Brady. However, this proposes a question:
Are the Buccaneers going to take it all this season?
I don’t think so. Two future Hall of Fame players at the tail end of their respective careers won’t be able to carry a team to a championship.
Although they have proven to be a very lethal combination on the field, Gronkowski and Brady won’t be able to play as good as before. Gronkowski taking a year off and Brady having to settle into a new stadium will most likely have a big affect on how they play.
Trades like these are what’s keeping the quarantine exciting and we can expect more fireworks this off-season.
