Fight this bipolar California Winter with style

Christmas lights are spreading through cities, the smell of chimneys and pumpkin spice lattes are filling the air, and whether you’re in love or #foreveralone during this romantic season, you should make sure your closet holds the necessary items to keep you warm but not too warm during this sometimes sunny, sometimes cloudy, sometimes rainy, VERY bipolar weather we know very well. Fall is transitioning into Winter and the weather here in California may very well be described by Katy Perry’s song ‘Hot N Cold’.

Let’s be real, most of us wake up in the morning not knowing what to pick out of our closets because as beautiful as California is, it likes to play tricky little games with us during these Fall and Winter seasons.

Warning: Use those UGG boots carefully. They’re great for cold mornings but if it gets warmer throughout the day your feet will be begging you for some fresh air.

To save you from getting too hot or too cold this season, I’ve compiled a list of must-haves and potential outfits for this upcoming California winter.

♥ Knee-high socks and stockings – these are great with so many outfits and are super cute! Pair them with mini skirts, dresses and shorts.

♥ Boots – all kinds of boots: combat boots, ankle boots, knee-high boots, rain boots, fringe boots…you get the point! Boots are a Fall/Winter staple and look great with pretty much any outfit!

♥ Dresses – You don’t have to wait until spring or summer to pull that mini dress out of the closet. Again, there are so many dresses you can pull off during this season and still keep warm. Put on your favorite floral dress, pair it with knee-high socks, leggings or stockings and your favorite boots and voila! Not too hot, not too cold. Perfect for a California winter!

♥ Leather jackets – these babes will never go out of style. They’re edgy and stylish. Keep warm this winter without losing your cool.

♥Hats – again, there are so many options to choose from. Beanies are casual but edgy, fedoras are chic and cute, and floppy hats make a bold statement with any outfit.

♥Leggings – they’re warm, versatile, comfortable, and stylish. You can never go wrong with them.

♥Flannels – Pair them with your jeans, a tank and boots or wear it over a mini dress, leggings and high heel boots.

All of these Fall/Winter fashion staples are great because they’re so versatile. You can wear them all year long, especially during these colder seasons.
